Selenite is a self cleansing stone, meaning that while it may absorb negative energy from your surroundings, it will not retain it, and will release it.  Selenite is known as a good stone to have if you are trying to connect with your spirit guides or the angelic realm. For this reason, it is also a good protection stone, and can help you call upon the angels to protect you. It is also a good luck stone, and can be very peaceful and tranquil--especially when meditating with it. It is associated with the Crown Chakra and is a good stone to have in your arsenal if you are a medium, psychic, Reiki practitioner, or anyone else who is doing energy work.
